Facial Papilloma Removal
The human papillomavirus is present in the bodies of the vast majority of people. That is why many face the question of papilloma appearing on the face, its removal and aesthetic restoration. Facial papillomas can be removed at many clinics in Ukraine and Kyiv, but it should be remembered that even benign growths require special attention, especially when it comes to the need to remove papillomas on the face.
A papilloma is a benign tumor on a thin stalk that develops under the influence of the human papillomavirus (HPV). Papillomas consist of proliferating epithelial cells and can form on the skin as well as on mucous membranes covered with transitional epithelium.
According to medical estimates, the human papillomavirus is present in 90% of the world’s population. However, it can be suppressed by the immune system for many years without manifesting itself. In addition, there are more than 100 strains of HPV, and not all of them are capable of provoking the appearance of growths on the skin.

The causes that can provoke the appearance of papilloma growths include the following:
- contact with a virus carrier or objects they have touched;
- microtraumas, cracks, cuts (the virus penetrates more easily when the skin integrity is compromised);
- suppressed immune system (stress, chronic fatigue, vitamin deficiency, bad habits, or antibiotic use — all of these weaken immunity and provoke HPV activity);
- pregnancy (hormonal changes can also provoke the appearance of papillomas if a woman’s body carries HPV);
- sexual activity (some HPV strains are transmitted exclusively through sexual contact);
- genetic predisposition;
- age (age-related changes can also trigger the appearance of papillomas).

Quality of work
Thanks to a thorough approach in diagnostics and treatment planning for each clinical case, we achieve a minimal number of complications.

- common papillomas (a single large papule close to the skin color that may change and become less smooth as it grows);
- flat papillomas (resemble moles in appearance but have a denser structure and are held on a stalk);
- filiform papillomas (look like yellow lumps that begin to elongate over time).
Regardless of the type, facial papilloma removal is a necessary measure, as all growths have tumor progression — in other words, they tend to grow. Many people are reassured by the fact that papillomas are benign and therefore harmless tumors. However, there are several points to consider:
- Psychological and aesthetic factors (the presence of a papilloma on the forehead or face affects how a person is perceived by others and by themselves).
- Potential traumatization (any injuries and damage to tumors can provoke their changes and growth).
- Spread and transmission of the virus (removal of papillomas on the face or other body parts is necessary to prevent the spread of growths and infection of other people).
Unfortunately, there are no drugs that destroy HPV. However, the risks of papilloma occurrence can be minimized by strengthening the immune system. We also recommend avoiding public places where there is an increased risk of contact with HPV (bathhouses, public showers, swimming pools).
The HPV vaccine is given between the ages of 8 and 12, before the onset of sexual activity. However, it can also be given in adulthood — it will protect against HPV strains that the body has not yet encountered.
One of the most characteristic signs of this growth is the presence of a thin stalk. However, we recommend consulting a specialist — only a doctor can correctly identify the growth and determine the method of its removal.
Many patients try to avoid surgical intervention, so they often look for ways to treat papillomas. As a rule, this involves using various chemical preparations or folk remedies to destroy the tumor, and such “procedures” are often performed at home.
Our clinic specialists strongly advise against such remedies and do not support ineffective and sometimes harmful experiments. It should be remembered that the ultimate goal of treatment should be the safe disappearance of the growth. Manipulations by an inexperienced person can lead to trauma of the tumor and greater infection. Only an experienced doctor can remove a papilloma on the face, and they will also recommend the most effective method for the patient’s specific case.
