• common papillomas (a single large papule close to the skin color that may change and become less smooth as it grows);
• flat papillomas (resemble moles in appearance but have a denser structure and are held on a stalk);
• filiform papillomas (look like yellow lumps that begin to elongate over time).

Regardless of the type, facial papilloma removal is a necessary measure, as all growths have tumor progression — in other words, they tend to grow. Many people are reassured by the fact that papillomas are benign and therefore harmless tumors. However, there are several points to consider:
