Installation of 9 dental implants. Clinical case
Bleeding gums, bad breath, metallic taste in the mouth, mobility of the front teeth on the upper jaw
Periodontitis, chronic periodontitis in the area of the front teeth on the upper jaw
Tooth extraction with simultaneous placement of i-system dental implants. Implant-supported prosthetics
Approximately 3 months
A 47-year-old female patient came to our clinic with complaints of bleeding gums, bad breath, metallic taste in the mouth, and mobility of the front teeth on the upper jaw. After diagnostics, our implant surgeon established the diagnosis: generalized periodontitis, chronic periodontitis in the area of the front teeth on the upper jaw.
A treatment plan was proposed: removal of all periodontitis-affected teeth with old crowns, removal of all lateral teeth in the area of advanced periodontitis. Simultaneous placement of 9 implants after tooth extraction. Temporary prosthetics on the placed implants, followed by zirconium oxide dental crowns after implant integration.
Surgical dentistry consultation to establish the diagnosis and develop a treatment plan.
Based on CT and orthopantomogram (panoramic X-ray) results, a tooth extraction surgery with simultaneous implantation and temporary prosthetics was proposed.
Considering that there was significant bone volume loss in the area of the teeth to be extracted, we proposed using short plateau system implants to avoid an additional bone grafting surgery (sinus lift).
Tooth extraction surgery was performed. The teeth were removed and short plateau system implants were placed in their position. Three days after the surgery, temporary prosthetics were provided so that the patient could maintain her usual lifestyle.
Recovery period: 2.5 months. The surgical result is visible in the photograph.
Two and a half months after dental implantation, complete prosthetics with zirconium oxide crowns was performed. As a result, the patient received functional and aesthetically perfect teeth.
The patient consciously chose a lighter shade of crowns. In the future, the same crowns will be placed on the lower jaw teeth.
