A 73-year-old woman came to our clinic on the recommendation of her sister, who had previously undergone treatment with dental implants at our clinic.
The patient had a negative experience with dental treatment and a fear of pain, as well as a fear of lengthy surgical procedures. After an initial consultation with a dental surgeon, trust was established with the patient and she decided to undergo surgery. All surgical procedures were to be performed in one session, with a request not to remove the 8th tooth located in the jaw (wisdom tooth).
Consultation with a dental surgeon for diagnosis and treatment planning.
After performing an OPG (dental X-ray) and CT scan, multiple adentia was detected in the upper and lower jaw area.
Our surgeon performed the operation in various zones of the upper and lower jaws for simultaneous placement of 8 plateau system implants by i-system (Switzerland). Postoperative monitoring and rehabilitation measures were provided.
The operation took 1.5 hours. The result of the operation can be seen on the follow-up X-ray: the implants are visible in the areas of missing teeth.
